A modern take on the classic Panamanian chaquira.
Chaquiras are entirely handmade by artisans bringing intricate patterns to life in this traditional form of the necklace first used by the indigenous people of the Comarca (reservation) Ngäbe Buglé. Over time this technique was taught to other rural Panamanians in the area.
This necklace takes over a week to make. Artisans typically spend 3-4 hours a day for seven days to complete one necklace. The Bold Chaquira combines the traditional necklace form with a touch of modern lines in a timeless hint of black and white.
